Winthrop Properties has opened three decorated models at Winthrop Club, a 15-story condominium building
in downtown Evanston that is poised to earn gold LEED certification.
The building's common areas are also open for touring. They include a fitness center, swimming pool and
spa, sundeck and club room. Visitors can also view a selection of immediate-delivery homes that showcase
the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building's multiple green roofs and extensive
landscaping.
The models have several green features, such as Energy Star-rated appliances; floor-to-ceiling low-e
windows; an air filtration system; dual-flush toilets, and low VOC-emitting paints, sealants and adhesives.
Standard finishes include: granite countertops and 42-inch Italian cabinetry in kitchens, marble bath
countertops, oak floors, bamboo front doors, and private balconies and/or terraces.
One of the decorated models available for viewing is the 1009, an 802-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bath
unit priced from $384,000. Another is the two-bedroom, two-bath residence 611. The 1,349-square-foot unit
is priced from $584,000. Also shown as a two-bedroom, two-bath model is residence 607, a 1,135-squarefoot
unit priced from $479,000.
Located at 1570 Elmwood Ave., just south of Davis Street, Winthrop Club is close to grocery stores,
entertainment, schools and mass transit, including the CTA and Metra.
